The 2019-2020 school year brought opportunities, new records and challenges to the Bobcats and Blazers. The Clayton-Bradley Academy Athletic Family, that is made up of parents, students, administration, coaches, trainers and sponsors pulled together to help our foundation settle; as the building of our programs into what we want them to be has begun.
Parents. You got up early to bring volleyball and basketball students to school before 6 am. You traveled to far, hot and rainy, and sometimes crazy cross country meets. You traveled late multiple times to elementary through middle and high school basketball and cheer games. You helped with the banquets. You worked with us during the pandemic and let us come to your homes to do at home workouts with your kids. You took your kids to doctors and trainers. You gave supplies and helped work concessions and tickets. You fed the teams and hosted events. You bought apparel through our team shop stores to help give us money. There are many other things you did that are too many to mention, and many that are unknown to us. But, without you, none of what is about to be laid out, in this amazing year, would have been possible. So, thank you!
Students. You started new teams and sports you might not have tried before. You pushed yourself to be better. You represented your school well in all sports and at all venues, using our Life-Skills and Lifelong Guidelines. You broke records, won games and got recognition from the conferences and newspapers. You helped create a great foundational culture that we want this school to be known for. Thank you!
Below is a list of some of what you did this year:
Got our sponsors from 4, at the beginning of the year, to 13 by the end of the year.

Started the first ever Elementary Boys and Girls Basketball teams.
Started the first ever Elementary Cheer team.

Had the most wins in a season, 3, for high school volleyball.

Did Zoom meetings and practices online and in your driveways with the coaches during the crazy Spring that was 2020.
Administration. You made all of this possible with your support and decisions to help steer us in the right direction. Thank you for allowing us to do all that was accomplished this year and create memories that these families will never forget. You are helping athletics be a window into what our great school is for all to see.
Coaches. You showed up early and stayed late. You were creative and caring in helping our athletes and school reach for their potential. You drove the bus. You cleaned up. You organized. You communicated through many outlets. You made smart decisions on and off the field and court. You represented our school well. You grew relationships with our students and their families beyond the call of duty. You gave your all for the new and continuing program that we are. Thank you!
Trainers. You started to be with us this year from Blount Memorial Hospital and Cherokee Health. You setup our guidelines and protocols online. You looked at students injuries, asked them questions, made decisions and gave guidance and reassurance to coaches, parents and students. You were a huge help this year. Thank you.
Sponsors. You have increased our opportunities to give students many things that they needed and some of them what they wanted. We received new uniforms, apparel and equipment because of you. We are in better shape than we have ever been. Thank you!
This 2019-2020 year is one that will never be forgotten. It is all because of the people who made it so. The Clayton-Bradley Academy future is looking good because of the work that was put in this year. We cannot wait to see what the Bobcats and Blazers do next.
Go Bobcats and Blazers!
