Clayton-Bradley's High School Volleyball team has taken a huge step forward this year. They are currently sitting at 15-4 on the season, more than doubling the previous record for wins in a season, that used to be 7. In fact, there has been so many great things happen this season in a hurry that it has been hard to keep up with it all.
So here is a synopsis of where things stand as of today, with 4, possibly 5 matches left in this historic season:
First CBA girls team, in any sport, to have double digit wins in a season.
First High School Volleyball team with a winning record.
8 wins against current TSSAA schools.
They have won 12 out of the last 13 matches.
They have won 8 matches in a row.
They are 6-0 in away matches.
Averaging 6 aces per set.
Averaging 7 kills per set.
Averaging 6 assists per set.
According to MaxPreps:
Mia Adkins is currently #3 in the nation with 113 serving aces and #1 in the state of Tennessee. She also won Blount County "The Sports Page" Player Of The Week last week in the team's apparence on their show.
Leah Hales is #8 in the state of Tennessee in hitting percentage at 34%. She has 208 kills, placing her 30th in the state of Tennessee. She is also #6 in the state of Tennessee with 72 serving aces.
