The Middle School Varsity Volleyball team moved to 9-0 on the season last night as they defeated The Episcopal School Of Knoxville 2-0. They did so with scores of 25-16 and 25-11. These young ladies are in rhythm with each other. They know where their strengths are in receiving, setting and hitting. It is fun to watch. 8th Grader Eva Hicks shared her thoughts on the win, "This game was definitely one of the good ones on the season. Especially coming back after a long weekend break. The energy that we brought to this game was amazing and I personally think that is one of the key factors in a successful game. Hearing your teammates cheer and support you, even if you make a mistake, makes it way easier to bounce back. Even though we made some mistakes tonight, we kept our heads up and stayed focused on the game. Not to mention that we are now 9-0. I am so proud of my team and hope that we can keep these wins coming!"
9 wins ties a school record for wins in a season, a record which this team created from their season last year. They are also now 5-0 in Division 2 of the KISL, with only one division match remaining. If they win that one they will be the 1 seed for the tourament coming up in a few weeks, with CBA will host.
CBA's JV plays at Lakeway Christian at 5 and Varsity plays Sacred Heart at Lakeway Christian at 7 Thursday night.
