Clayton-Bradley's Middle School Flag Football and Varsity Volleyball teams won in their KISL Tournament Quarterfinal games on Tuesday night to move on to the Semifinals Thursday.
Flag Football started their tournament off with a smashing win 47-0 over Knoxville Christian in the 2 versus 7 matchup. The Blazers had touchdowns scored by 7 different players. The defense has led the way all year and it proved to be the case again on Tuesday, as they grabbed 4 interceptions. CBA got up 21-0 in the first half and never looked back. Now, they look forward to the Semifinal match against the 3 seeded Sacred Heart team on Thursday at 6:30 at Knoxville Christian School. If CBA wins, they advance the school's first ever Flag Football Championship.
Varsity Volleyball fought their way through a tough match against The King's Academy to win 2-1 in their Quarterfinal match on Tuesday. The Blazers won with their serving power and the best team offense that they have played yet this season. The scores went as follows: 25-17, 19-25 and 15-11. The girls were down multiple times in the match, but always managed to fight back to take the lead. CBA continues their tradition as a good Volleyball school, making it to at least the semifinals now for three years in a row. CBA, as the 3 seed, takes on the 2 seeded Saint Joseph's Red team at 6:00 on Thursday at Maryville Chritian.
Make sure to come out and cheer on the Blazers Thursday night! Let's go CBA!
