LuAnne Zelasko is the new Head Coach of the High School Tennis program at Clayton-Bradley Academy. Athletic Director Grant Redmond is excited about "Coach Z" joining the CBA family and growing the Tennis program. "Coach Z brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the game of tennis, both as a player and as a coach to CBA. In this search I was looking for someone with head coaching experience, high character and the ability to truly teach the sport. Coach Z checked all of those boxes in a big way! The fact that she has been coaching in this area for some time was an added bonus. High School Tennis is a program that I have been wanting to see take off. We have a leader now that will help us accomlish that."

Coach Z shared her thoughts on coming to coach at CBA, "The reason I decided to take the tennis coaching job at Clayton-Bradley Academy is I thought it would be a challenge. I enjoy teaching tennis to people to watch them grow to love the sport as I do. I like to see the progress of a student from the beginning of the season to the end. I like to introduce tennis to the ones who have never picked up a racket and watch them continue to improve week after week. This a sport that they can play their entire life. And to those who already play, I can work on more advance skills for them to also improve week to week."
She went on to explain her thoughts on the Tennis program at CBA, "I will have the kids to set goals at the beginning of the season. The goals I have for this team is for them to enjoy themselves while competing with others. I want them to believe in their choices and decisions. I want them to believe in themselves in their successes and failures. No matter their skill level I want them to be open to learning new skills and being part of a team atmosphere and how to work with others. Winning is not the final goal, it is improving and believing in yourself. When you win, act like a winner. When you lose, learn and move on to your next match. I want them to believe in their choices and decisions. I want them to trust their teammates, to put their failures and their successes in their hands as much as in mine. It is always easier to work hard when you have a teammate beside you working too. I want to inspire them to believe in themselves as much as I believe in them. Tennis is a game full of life experiences such as respect, leadership, handling pressure, strength of character in winning and losing."
