Tuesday night turned into a successful night for the CBA Basketball teams!
The Middle School Boys led through 3 quarters before falling to Apostolic Maryville 40-34. 8th grader Grey Andresen shined on offense, scoring 14 points. They look to bounce back on Friday evening when they host Paideia Academy.
The Middle School Girls jumped out to a 17-0 lead after the first quarter before coasting to a 29-7 win over St. Mary's. 8th grader Bria Moynihan matched Andresen's point total, leading the team with 14 points, 10 of which came in the first half. With a win over Temple Baptist next Tuesday, the Lady Blazers would secure the 2 seed for the upcoming KISL Tournament.
The High School Girls took over their game against Temple Baptist in the second half to come away with a 25-22 victory. Freshman Mia Adkins scored all of her 9 points in the second half to help the Lady Blazers pull away. Their upcoming schedule consists of a back-to-back @ Calvary Baptist and at home versus Paideia this Thursday and Friday.
The High School Boys were in a back and forth battle with Temple Baptist, and they snuck out a huge 59-54 due to two huge performances from Junior Sam McNeal and Sophomore Brandon Hager. McNeal turned in his 3rd 30+ point game of the season, dropping 32 on 46% shooting. Hager recorded an 11 point, 14 rebound double-double.
