"Ahh Ace!" was the phrase heard over and over again as the CBA High School Volleyball team got back to their winning ways against The Tennessee School For The Deaf in Knoxville last night. After two weeks of close contests that the Blazers fought hard in, and had chances to win but dropped, they got back on the right side of the scoreboard Tuesday night. CBA won with serves that TSD had a hard time receiving and by completing great passes and hits. They continue to show their growth in the new gameplan of how to receive, pass and hit. Two years ago the Blazers and Vikings went to extra points in a full set match, that CBA ultimately lost. On this night it was quick win for the Blazers in straight sets of 3-0, with scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-20.
Senior outside hitter Jaden Bogert, who had many great hits on the night, shared her thoughts on the win, "It was an amazing win, as well as an interesting way to be able to interact with their unique team. After the losses we've suffered recently, it was good to get back to wining for CBA."
The Lady Blazers already have 3 wins on the season. The school record is 5 in a season, which happened last year. With 16 matches left on the schedule you can expect big things the rest of the way for CBA!
They take the court again on Thursday, at home against Temple Baptist, with JV at 5 and Varsity at 6.
