The Boys Middle School Golf team started the season on a high note in their back-to-back matches this past Monday & Tuesday. On Monday, CBA faced off with Heritage at Wild Laurel Golf Course, where the Blazers galloped past the Mustangs 100-104. 8th grader Kendall Terry won the match by 3 shots over the nearest Heritage golfer, marking the first ever individual match win in CBA middle school golf history.
On Tuesday, they competed against Monroe County and Eagleton at Madisonville Golf Course. Fellow 8th grader Max Epperson followed up Kendall's win with a win of his own. He tied an Eagleton Royal player, but he won the match on a scorecard playoff tiebreaker. On the par-3 7th, he made the first ever par on a hole in middle school history. The team defeated Monroe County 167-171 and fell just short against Eagleton 167-165, bringing their record to 2-1.
The Blazers continue their record-setting season in a rematch with Eagleton at Lambert Acres Golf Club on March 28th. Go Blazers!
